~Karpie's Korner

This is who I am. This is what I do.

I've been playing with computers ever since my mum brought home an old Apple IIe in I don't even know what year it was. I'd guess late 1980's. I couldn't be sure. So you could say I've been tinkering with them all my life.

From humble beginnings, from that old green-screen beast and the Macintosh Classics I played games on in primary school, I have indeed come a long way. I am currently a final year Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Melbourne (plug, plug), and I've learnt a lot over the past ten years or so, roughly the amount of time I've actually been using computers and seeing what they could do.

I'd like to take a couple of moments out to talk a little bit about what I've learnt in terms of development and programming over the years. Starting from my history with them, and working up to what I know now. At the end, I might talk a bit about where I'd like to go with programming and web development, as well. There's a lot of new stuff coming out, a lot of old stuff to learn, and I find it all quite interesting.
